TEXPERS Associate Members to Discuss Strategic ETF Use in Sept. 16 Webinar
Representatives from two TEXPERS members will participate in an upcoming Pensions & Investments webinar examining how institutional investors are expanding their use of exchange-traded funds.
A Strategic Shift Forward in ETF Usage will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at 1 p.m. Central time.
Exchange-traded funds, commonly called ETFs, were once used primarily for liquidity management and tactical trading. The webinar will explore how institutional investors increasingly use ETFs as long-term strategic holdings and core portfolio building blocks.
The discussion will examine how active, income-oriented, and customized ETF strategies may help investors:
- Make more precise portfolio adjustments;
- Manage concentration risk;
- Strengthen fixed-income positioning; and
- Complement private-market exposure.
Panelists will also discuss how ETF providers support institutional investors through portfolio analytics, trading assistance, liquidity assessments, and research.
The panelists are:
- Garrett Glawe, CFA, head of Asset Owner ETF Specialists at Invesco. Invesco is an Associate Advisor Member of TEXPERS.
- Bradley Kotler, head of Execution Strategy and Analytics for SPDR ETF Capital Markets at State Street Investment Management. State Street is an Associate Member of TEXPERS.
Gauri Goyal, senior director of content and programming at Pensions & Investments, will moderate the discussion.
