TESRS Names Tiffany White as its New Executive Director

Tiffany White is the new executive director of the Texas Emergency Services Retirement System, according to an announcement on the state pension fund's website.

In addition to providing retirement benefits for emergency services workers, the Fund also provides retirement benefits to volunteer firefighters in the state. White manages the Fund's operations and develops and implements board policies.

She began working for the Fund on Sept. 1, replacing David Tropea, who served as the system's interim executive director and chief financial officer for the last three months. Tropea continues to work with the Fund as chief financial officer.

According to her LinkedIn professional work history, White has government administrative experience. She recently spent two years as chief of staff for Rep. Nicole Collier, D-Fort Worth. Before that, White spent a little more than a year-and-a-half as the committee director for the Texas Senate Committee on Agriculture. Before that, she spent four years as legislative affairs manager with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

TESRS' website post announcing White as its new executive director details her other experience and education, adding up to more than 30 years of experience in legislative affairs: "She worked as Committee Clerk for State Senator Royce West on the Senate Intergovernmental Relations Committee and the Senate Committee on Jurisprudence. Tiffany has worked for the Office of the Texas Comptroller and the Legislative Budget Board."

According to TESRS, White graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in Business and earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Texas State University.
